Veterinarians

Dr. Thompson

Dr. Thompson received his Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University in 1972, then went on to receive his doctorate of veterinary medicine from Ohio State University in 1976. From 1976 to 1981, Dr. Thompson was Captain of the Air Force. In 1981 he practiced small animal veterinary medicine, then in 1983, Audubon Animal Clinic became established. Audubon Animal Clinic was opened as a small and large animal hospital. Dr. Thompson currently resides on a 350 acre farm with his wife Judy. When not at the clinic, Dr. Thompson enjoys hunting, fishing, and visiting his two sons.

Dr. Loyd

Dr. Lisa Loyd graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science in 1984. She then went on to receive her DVM from the University of Georgia in 1987. Dr. Loyd resides in Taylor County with her husband, Ronnie, and their twin boys Matthew and James. They have 2 Golden retrievers, 2 cats, and a cow/calf beef farm. Dr. Loyd is the organizational leader of Valley Falls Dreamers 4-H Club and is active in the county 4-H Program. Her spare time is spent getting their boys to their various activities.

Dr. Linner

Dr. Linner grew up in a large family in Pittsburgh, PA. She obtained a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University, of Pennsylvania, and then joined the Navy. She earned her Masters of Agriculture, from Penn State, and then entered the University of Tennessee graduating in 1988 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. In addition to caring for pets and farm animals, she also has a special interest in exotic animals. Dr. Linner resides on a small farm in Harrison County with her dogs, cats, goats, and chickens. In her spare time she enjoys photography,making jewelry, and competing with pistol and rifle.

Dr. Loomis

Dr. Loomis earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Wilmington College of OH. She earned her DVM from Ohio State. She has been with our practice for more than 15 years. She currently lives in a full house with her husband, father, 2 children, dogs, cats, a tortoise, a gecko, 4 horses, a cow, sheep and chickens. When she isn’t working, she enjoys endurance riding, knitting, and reading science fiction and fantasy.

Dr. Knotts

Dr. Knotts grew up on a farm raising Limousin cattle outside of Grafton, WV. His interest in large animal grew from here, and decided to attend West Virginia University where he majored in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. In 2010, he graduated from Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. When not at Audubon, Dr. Knotts enjoys spending time with his wife Rebecka, and sons; Clay, Cabell ,and Boone. You can see Dr. Knotts at either our Philippi, or Bridgeport clinics.

Dr. Maset

Dr. Maset grew up in Rachel, WV. He attended West Virginia University, and obtained his bachelor of science in animal and veterinary sciences. From there, he enrolled in Ohio State University, and graduated in 2004. From 2004-2005 Dr. Maset worked for Ohio State University large animal services. In 2005, Dr. Maset began working for Audubon Animal Clinic. Dr. Maset currently resides in Clarksburg, WV. When not working, Dr. Maset enjoys spending time with his daughter, Emilia, and riding Quarter horses.

Dr. Fraley

Dr. Fraley grew up in Bruceton Mills, WV. He graduated from WVU with a BS in Animal and Veterinary Science in 2003 In 2006, Dr. Fraley graduated from Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. He currently resides in Bridgeport, WV, with his two beautiful children, Evan age 5 and Elizabeth age 3. Also their dogs Abraham and Mas. In his spare time he enjoys fishing on his boat and bow hunting.

Donna

I enjoy spending my time with my two daughters, being outdoors, lawn work, and canning. I have four dogs, and three grand puppies. I love learning new things and I get the opportunity to do that everyday at Audubon Animal Clinic.

Emily

My name is Emily and I have worked for Audubon Animal Clinic for 4 years. I am a graduate of the Vet Tech program at Pierpont College. I have practiced as a registered technician for 2 years. My job as a technician is demanding, and challenging, but I absolutely love what I do. I’m also a mom to my wonderful son and I have a dog named Bill. Bill enjoys going to work with me every day, and my coworkers enjoy his company as well.

Jackie

If you love animals this is a great place to work. Every day is a different experience. It’s never boring. My love of animals is why I stay here and the educational opportunities are a huge plus.

Regina

Regina has worked at Audubon Animal Clinic for 18 Years. I enjoy showing and raising Akitas and Shiba Inus.

Alyssa

Alyssa grew up in Buckhannon, WV. My husband and I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. In my free time, I love to hike, camp and ride horses.

Tammy

Tammy grew up in Buckhannon, WV. I have 3 dogs. In my free time I love to read, do photography, and hunt.

Stephany

Stephany loves camping, hiking, fishing and photography. She also loves animals, mountains, and forest. She has 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a squirrel.

Marla

Marla has 26 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician. Her free time is spent enjoying outdoor activities.

Chandra

Chandra enjoys spending time with my husband and kids on our horse farm. We raise, train, and trail ride Tenessee Walking Horses.

Samantha

Samantha joined Audubon in 2016. She lives in Philippi, WV with her two dogs , Sydney and Yogi. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family hiking and camping.

Yolanda

I am a mom to two wonderful children who are 15 and 8, and I have an amazing husband. We have a dog named lily and a cat named piper. I enjoy my job and love my family time.

Patti

I live on a farm with dogs and horses. I volunteer with the local animal shelter.

Janna

Janna grew up in Buckhannon WV. She graduated from Marshall University in 2010 with a Bachelors of Biological Sciences with Pre-Vet emphasis, and graduated from Pierpont Community and Technical College in 2015 with an Associates of Veterinary Technology. She became an RVT in January of 2016. She resides with her boyfriend Josh, 3 German Shepherds, and 5 cats in Buckhannon. She enjoys kayaking, swimming, and other outdoor activities with Josh and her dogs.
